MY BACKGROUND AND WHAT BROUGHT ME HERE…
After studying Communications at Baylor University, I began my professional career working in the back office for a trust company that served as custodian for IRA accounts. Our company specialized in holding non-traditional assets within IRA accounts. This was a brand-new world for me, and I found it vast and interesting. I would call various New York firms daily to track down client transfers and make sure needed instructions were thorough and complete. I continued to learn and moved on to get my Series 6 license and worked for Janus Mutual Fund Company where I gained valuable client service experience. During this time, the economy saw extreme expansion and contraction as the Dotcom Bubble burst. I transitioned from financial services, to training and development, working with Fortune 500 companies at the organizational level helping them find and define corporate culture. While living in Austin, Texas, I left the corporate world to become a small business entrepreneur and opened my own coffee shop. For 15 years, I woke up every day, ready to motivate my employees and customers, eager to provide a smile, humor, and joy to the community, one cup at a time. In the summer of 2019, I found Tucson and realized dry heat was a treat compared to the triple-digit temperatures and humidity of Austin. My slow move to Tucson was complete at the end of January 2020, just before the pandemic. I am still discovering the magic of Tucson. I feel like I have come full circle, joining the team at Treiberg Wealth Management where my broad and varied experience gives me a unique perspective and allows me to provide commitment to our clients, daily.
OUTSIDE THE OFFICE…
I still love coffee and finding unique, homegrown shops where I can settle in and read, people watch, and enjoy a tasty cold brew. I love to go hiking, and you will find me with my husband trekking on one of Tucson’s many fantastic trails.
A FEW UNIQUE FACTS ABOUT ME…
I was born in Germany to American parents and lived in Germany, Spain, and the UK all by the time I was five. I took time off from college to live overseas in Siberia, north of Mongolia and teach English for three years. Traveling and experiencing other cultures is pure joy. I would say that Vancouver, BC, is home away from home and enjoy visiting every chance I get. Although, lately, my travels have been closer to home, taking time away at an off-the-grid cabin north of Taos, New Mexico, for solitude and stargazing.
Professional Facts…
I am contemplating re-sitting for my Series 6 license and adding further education to support our clients.
